Colorado’s trails and bike lanes were considerably fuller than usual this morning as tons of two wheeled commuters turned out for Bike to Work Day 2015.
While the morning Bike to Work Breakfast stations are officially closed, we’re hoping the weather holds for when the Bike Home stations open at 4:30pm. For those looking for something a little different, there are a number of parties scheduled for this afternoon aimed at cyclists – including the Tour de Taps and the 2nd Annual Pedal to Patio: Star Wars, Beers and Pizzas. Yes, that last one does include iPhone light saber battles and Clone Troopers on bikes.
Anyway, we thought we’d check out Twitter to see what you guys had to say about your morning commute. Maybe it's just because people who work for tech startups tend to also love bicycling, but our Twitter feed was full of tweets about cycling exploits -- and then we did a search and found even more. Below you can see some tweets that came through our feed featuring the hashtag #BikeToWorkDay.
From the looks of things, some of you have amazingly picturesque morning commutes – I’m talking about you @keystonemtn and @coreye_aspen. For the rest of us with normal, city commutes, let's just hope we pass @debfitz and her acrobatic friends on the Cherry Creek Trail on the way home.
