Mortgage tech company Maxwell announced the close of a $3 million seed round. The latest funding will enable the company to roughly double its team and focus on further expanding its national user base. The round was led by the investment arm of Anthemis Group and included participation from Route66 Ventures, Assurant Inc. and other existing investors.

Rogue Wave acquires Java development software company ZeroTurnaround
Open source software developers Rogue Wave announced the acquisition of Boston-based ZeroTurnaround, which creates software tools for Java developers. The deal enables Rogue Wave to expand its current offering of B2B tech solutions and better help its customers build, connect and secure applications.

Recent Techstars grad Stateless raises $1.4M seed round
Boulder-based "network-as-as-service" startup Stateless landed a $1.4 million round of seed-stage funding yesterday. The round was led by European VC firm SpeedInvest, with support from EVO Venture Partners, Techstars and others. The company plans to use the funds to expand the capabilities of its cloud-based network services platform.
Built In's Maria Christopoulos Katris named to Crain's 40 Under 40
On Monday, Crain's released its annual 40 Under 40 list, recognizing leaders who have made an impact on Chicago business before they turned 40. Built In co-founder and CEO Maria Christopoulos Katris was among those listed. She helped launch the tech community platform in 2011, expanding on co-founder Matt Moog's initial idea in Chicago and growing it into a network of six growing tech hubs around the country.
