Take your best idea for a startup and supercharge it. This three hour event will help you mold your ideas into something solid. Attendees will have a chance to hear what sorts of ideas work, and which ones don't, from successful startup founders. Everything starts with an idea, this event will teach you where to go next.
How to Take Your Startup to a Conference, November 4th at 12 p.m.
When most startups attend their first conferences, they have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. StatusPage.io and some of their friends will share some of their conference experiences, and offer some lessons for how to get the most out of them.
The APEX Awards, November 5th at 5 p.m.
The APEX awards, which are now in their 15th year, recognize people and organizations that have had an impact on Colorado’s tech sector. Awards will go out for things like CIO of the Year, CEO of the Year, and, of course, Startup of the Year. The ceremony is being held at the Sheraton in downtown Denver, and you can expect to see a who's who of Denver tech at the event.
Galvanize Pitchers & Pitches, November 5th at 5:30 p.m.
Think of this kind of like a mini-demo day tournament for Galvanize companies, with ample beer supplies. The winners of the local tournament will be flown out to San Francisco to compete in a national pitch competition. The winner of that will receive a free Galvanize membership for a year — not a bad prize. The event will occur in Denver and Boulder simultaneously.
Intro to the Colorado Startup Scene, November 11th at 10 a.m.
If you’re looking to get plugged in to the local startup scene, this event is designed for you. Over a cup of coffee, participants will receive a thorough overview of the local startup ecosystem, and a chance to ask some questions. After the event there’ll be some time for networking.
