Jam out with fellow geeks, Tuesday 6 p.m.
If you play an instrument and are looking for a group to jam with, look no further. This group of “hard-core techies” is getting together Tuesday to play music and talk tech together at Gorilla Logic in Boulder. They’ll take care of equipment like instruments and speakers, and they’ll also have “other nerdy, super techie and geeky gadgets” for you to play with.
Hit the slopes before work, Wednesday 8:30 a.m.
It’s exactly what it sounds like. Head up to the mountains and ski or board with startup folks. The weather supposed to be spectacular next week, so you might as well start your day with some bluebird sky, new friends and some Breck powder.
University startup fest, Wednesday 3:00 p.m.
Hosted by some of Denver’s top colleges and universities and The Commons on Champa, this networking event is perfect for students interested in tech and entrepreneurship. They’ll have a happy hour networking event and a panel featuring some key mentors in the community, including Lizelle van Vuuren from Women Who Startup.
Intro to the startup community, Thursday 6:30 p.m.
This free class is an orientation to help newcomers to the startup scene get acquainted with the exciting world of tech in Denver. Host General Assembly will give you the inside scoop on key events/meetups to attend, people, companies, VCs, blogs, incubators, programs, hot issues, and more.
Learn to build a conversational Slack bot, Thursday 6:30 p.m.
Flex your Node and JavaScript skills by making yourself a new friend. You’ll build a Slack bot in real time using botkit and deploy it using Beep Boop. It’s a lesson in code and linguistics, as you’ll learn how to process language so the bot is actually conversational. That’s pretty neat.
