Colorado is a big state, made considerably bigger by the Rocky Mountains. Even though Telluride, Grand Junction, Denver and Ft. Collins are technically in the same state, they might as well be on different planets. With the state government and many support organizations for tech companies calling Denver home, it can feel lonely for tech companies not located along the Denver/Boulder Turnpike (US-36). That’s why the first ever Colorado Tech Tour is hitting the road to do a statewide listening tour of Colorado tech hubs.
The tour will basically stuff a bunch of tech big-wigs onto a bus and shuttle them over a thousand miles around the state. Not only will they have the opportunity to see some amazing scenery, they’ll also be stopping to listen and learn from tech communities around the state. There will be representatives from the Colorado Technology Association, the Governor’s Office of Information Technology, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and Go Code Colorado, amongst others.
If you’d like to take part, the tour is hosting a happy hour in various locations around the state to give Tour participants the opportunity to get to know local business leaders. So, if you’d like to meet some tech big-wigs or even just show up for a good time, here’s the schedule:
