It can be hard to find the right job or the right candidate in every industry. But the service industry in particular, with its notoriously high turnover rates and lack of a centralized job board, can be among the toughest. Listings for jobs in the service industry are scattered everywhere — you might find a listing on Craigslist or Indeed, or you might have to know a friend of a friend who already works there.

If Sirvo, which is launching in private beta today, gets its way, there will be a centralized marketplace for service industry talent and job openings.

Think of Sirvo kind of like a LinkedIn for the service industry. Employers can build profiles and post job openings, and so can candidates. There’s a job board, search tools, and even a messaging platform. Probably the most exciting aspect of the platform is a technology that allows for compatibility-driven pairings, making it easier for the right candidate to be connected with the right job.

“Our overall goal is to create a space where service industry related businesses and the individuals working for them, now or in the future, can share information, grow professionally, and make informed decisions regarding employment,” Stephanie Maxwell, Sirvo’s Founder and CEO said.

Sirvo is currently in private-beta, but you can go to their website and sign up to be put on the waiting list. Check it out, and maybe the next time you’re looking for a job in the service industry it won’t be such a huge endeavor.
