After four years in business, Denver's Bluprint (formerly Craftsy) still finds new ways to make itself an essential part of the growing enthusiasm economy.

The Craftsy iOS app is now available in Apple Retail stores. It recently launched an Android version to continue courting the exploding mobile marketplace, and product director Chandler Koglmeier said it plans “to reach more and more enthusiasts throughout the world and empower them to succeed at the things they love to do.” This week, in its forth round of financing, Bluprint closed on $50 million, bringing its total funding to the $100 million mark.

Bluprint provides a curated, interactive platform for lifelong learners to take classes, obtain instructional tools, and pursue passions from anywhere on earth. If you're intrigued by photography, embroidery, particularly tasty pasta sauces, and more, Bluprint can take you from a fan to an artisan.

Koglmeier said that Bluprint's power comes not so much from its marketing and technology as from its growing user base. He said that the most important skill he himself has acquired through the Bluprint experience is “to listen, humbly. From the start, Bluprint has focused on listening to our users and building products that solve real problems in their lives. Our users are enthusiasts and deeply care about their passions. Bluprint's role in their lives is to listen, help and empower them to succeed.”

Foundry was one of our earliest supporters and continue to be incredibly helpful to our growth. They are just one of the many examples of supporters throughout the ecosystem in the Front Range help us work through opportunities, challenges, and so much more.”
