Job Description

This is an opportunity to join the Data Solutions team in the Advertiser Direct group in the capacity of Account Manager, Agencies. The Data team at Sovrn transforms data into meaningful insights both publishers and advertisers. This is a hands-on analyst and customer success position in a newly created role. As it is a new role, there will be no set training packet or playbook or narrowly defined scope of responsibilities. You’ll be working side by side across all data disciplines including with the marketing, sales, operations, and data science teams to achieve successful campaigns for our direct advertiser relationships. This is not just an execution role, but a chance to define and build the message, product, and processes to build our relationships with our direct advertiser clients.

Responsibilities

  • Whatever it takes to get agencies and brands (our direct advertisers) successfully running campaigns, and increasing their levels of spend with Sovrn publishers.
    • Supporting sales efforts with marketing programs to introduce agencies to Sovrn’s story
    • Understanding the client’s goals and constraints and ensuring that their campaign is set up to best meet those goals
    • Setting client expectations and working with them to identify opportunities to achieve their goals
    • Designing and working with data science to build and constantly improve reporting for clients to drive success in their campaigns
    • Keeping reports updated and monitored to pro actively identify issues and resolve them
    • Providing constructive feedback from client experiences to the data science and product teams to drive constant improvements in our products and processes
  • Working closely with the VP Agencies to execute on the programs that will have the biggest impact on developing new agency relationships and achieving their goals.

Qualifications

  • You have excellent communication skills with the ability to ask insightful questions and share conclusions articulately through use of visualizations and data tables
  • You have a demonstrable interest in analytical review and a passion for operational efficiency
  • You’re able to solve problems then scale standardized solutions across departments and clients
  • You get excited by the idea of rolling up your sleeves and working closely with internal teams to assess business performance and develop a thoughtful analytic approach to customer-specific issues & opportunities
  • You’re comfortable working independently in cross-functional teams in high pressure situations
  • You’re curious, resourceful, scrappy, and adaptable
  • You find creative ways to solve or get around problems to achieve your goals. You’ll work with others to get help and input, but you won’t sit around waiting for others to solve the problems for you.
  • You’re the type of person that will take pride in contributing to a highly impactful Data Solutions department and the organization at large – the goal is to be world class
  • You have previous experience or exposure to the media industry on the supply or demand side
