FTE: 100% (40 hrs/week)
Compensation: $55,058- $62,806

Job Summary

The Strategic Initiatives Data and Operations Manager (SIDOM) supports the Office of Marketing, Enrollment, Advising, Communications, and the university overall by aligning projects with organizational priorities and strategies as directed by the Vice President for Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success. The SIDOM is responsible for building and coordinating internal stakeholder support in projects and systems. Delivers and supports meaningful, action-oriented training and documentation to guide functional areas to perform with excellence through operational data support systems. The SIDOM is a systems and systematic thinker; creates standard operating procedures to improve the tools, projects, and resources necessary for a great student experience. Success in this role is measured in part using key performance indicators for each system and functional area across university departments. Manages and coordinates admissions and advising communication plans, including but not limited to content creation, triggers, disbursal, and maintenance.  This position is expected to come on campus once a week, the rest can be done remotely.  This could change in the future. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•Serve as partner, advisor, and project support to faculty, staff, and student stakeholders, positioning functional areas at Naropa to focus on their unique roles as strategists, stewards, and leaders in the field and using the data to support operational excellence and efficiencies.
•Serve as a thought partner to the VP and Director of Strategic Initiatives on key initiatives, technology performance and solutions, and student journey improvement measures.
•Identify areas for enhancement for project- and systems-related training as well as opportunities to create new and further build upon existing training content.
•Develop, coordinate, and support technology solutions and enhancements through data findings to help drive functional areas across the university forward.
•Support management of third-party partners and ensure that follow-up is communicated to the team and executed in a timely manner.
•Support technical projects, identifying and fixing gaps in process; responsible for end-to-end successful outcomes of projects through documentation and associated trainings for each process or technology.
•Coordinate and support strategies based on data and systems analysis to ensure a high degree of responsiveness to external and internal stakeholders.
•Collaborate and coordinate with university-wide data management strategy and ensure team, systems, and operations work efficiently and effectively.
•Coordinate and support strategic assessments and action recommendations for key student-facing systems, processes, and policies, ensuring effective engagement and communications; support data project development and reporting possibilities in partnership with the strategic initiative team and key stakeholders across the University.
•Partner closely with operations teams to identify gaps in systems, processes, and data to tell the story of university performance.
•Provide technology management by supporting and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners through effective and efficient communications and information-sharing.
•Support stakeholder engagement through implementation of technological improvements for the organization through trainings and data hygiene.
•Maintain regular communication and strong working relationships with university peers to facilitate aligned action and coordinated decision-making, and to ensure the team has what they need to succeed
•Work with external firms as necessary to create, update, and maintain system trainings, reporting, and effectiveness to inspire and inform a range of audiences, as well as periodically collaborate in setting strategic improvement goals informed by data.

What We Require

•Bachelor’s degree in any field. 4 additional years of experience can be used in lieu of degree. 
•Three (3) years of administrative or managerial work experience working on company process creation/improvement and goal execution
•Experience working with, communicating, and supporting senior leadership in any setting
•Experience working at a strategic level (mission-driven and outcomes-based project planning, implementation, and continued stewardship, all aligned with university strategic goals and sought-after outcomes)
•Track record of building strong, professional relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Relative comfort with ambiguity and the ability to maneuver effectively in the midst of rapidly evolving priorities and work flows
•Solid working knowledge of third-party systems and their implementation, including but not limited to CRMs, Microsoft Dynamics, Share Point, CMS (Wordpress) information systems, Microsoft office Suite, and more
•Competencies required: training and developing others, influencing, strategic communications, project management

What We’d Like You to Have

•Five (5) years of professional experience as outlined above
•Bachelor’s in computer science, business administration, or other relevant discipline
•Master’s degree preferred. 
•In-depth experience managing third-party system implementations. Including but not limited to CRMs (Twillio, Microsoft Dynamics, Ellucian, Recruit, Advise, Colleague, Share Point, Jira, Datawarehouses, CMS (wordpress) information systems, Microsoft office Suite, and more
