Sales Engineer

Ombud is developing an Intelligent Content Collaboration platform, a first in the industry that brings together semi-structured content management, machine automation and collaborative authoring workflows. Our team is passionate about solving real-world collaboration challenges for practitioners at some of the most respected enterprises in the world, and we are looking for a talented Sales Engineer to support our global sales strategy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Become a subject matter expert in our product offering
  • Capably articulate how Ombud helps accomplish the business goals of prospective clients and demonstrate features and functionality that address prospective client use cases
  • Develop and execute custom demonstrations for qualified sales opportunities
  • Respond to prospect questions using Ombud curated content
  • Understand how our software integrates with other systems and technologies our clients use
  • Regularly update our Sales demo
  • Support the onboarding of new Sales Team members, including product training
  • Educate our Sales Team on product updates and lessons learned from sales opportunities
  • Competitive analysis for sales technologies
  • Support our Account Executive Team in transitioning clients to our Implementation Team

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in a software sales engineering role
  • Prior experience with Salesforce
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth software company
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies quickly
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with ability to quickly build credibility
  • Ability to provide product expertise in a way that removes uncertainty and instills confidence
  • Passionate about building strong, trusted relationships with our Sales and Customer Success Team, as well as our prospects and clients
  • Desire to attain deep understanding of product functionality, use cases, as well as business and technical elements
  • Willing to travel periodically based on customer and business need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
