If so, you may be a great fit with us as Head of Business Development (Managing Director), developing our transition planning business unit (Pathfinder) into a scalable, profitable business.

Reporting to one of the two company founders, you would sell the productized service to new clients through sales efforts and through collaboration with the Digital Marketing Director for lead generation; utilize the applications and tools we have built so far as well as further optimize and develop others; assist entrepreneurs with their transition plans and manage service delivery including building and leading a team as you grow the business, and lead overall operations.

Over the last 15 years, we have evolved from providing simple transaction advisory services to a full-service financial platform and productized service for entrepreneurs and business owners. Our services start 3-5 years before a business owner is looking to sell their company and include transition/exit planning (our Pathfinder and CoPilot offers), investment banking (managing the actual sale transaction through our broker dealer Class VI Securities), and personal wealth management services through our registered investment advisor family office (Class VI Family Office).

While we have the foundation in place and have coached clients successfully through the transition phase, building this out as a standalone business unit is a relatively new initiative, so you would make a major impact on our overall business of helping entrepreneurs. You would be integral to our continued growth, and we envision you taking us to amazing new heights long-term.

What we’ll expect from you and what you'll be doing:

  • Leveraging your successful sales experience to generate new business that results in becoming a $10 million business with $2-3 million in profit within ten years, and generating over 50% of our investment banking and wealth management leads

  • Leveraging your business knowledge, expertise, and strategic vision to build a standalone, profitable business unit that differentiates Class VI in the market through an innovative, value-building, integrated end-to-end solution to entrepreneurs’ operating, financial, and personal challenges

  • Building, leading, and coaching a team of Pathfinder analysts that you hire and manage after optimizing the existing program through your own service delivery and generating revenue that supports making those hires

  • Communicating vision, creating alignment around team and firm goals, driving measurable results, and constantly improving our culture, systems, and processes to ensure this is the best job all your team and co-workers will ever have

  • Utilizing technology to increase value-add to clients with applications like CoPilot and increase efficiency in service delivery

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Bachelor’s degree (business emphasis preferred, but not required).

  • Strong understanding of business strategy and financial analysis with at least 10 years of business or business consulting experience, preferably with or in second-stage businesses (more than $5M in revenues)

  • Successful experience in sales, leadership, and service delivery

  • Some product management as a product owner and business unit leader ideal but not required

  • Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees, vendors, etc.

Base salary of $100K–$200K, plus generous profit sharing and bonus potential that could bring total compensation to $300K-400K+, as well as the benefits listed above.
