We help make heroes of our clients and aid them in making dozens of product development and marketing decisions!

What is a Business Development Representative for our Key Accounts team at GutCheck?

This role is a blend of "Hunter and Farmer" responsibilities. You get to work directly with our Account Directors and support them on our biggest Strategic Accounts. The great news is that we are already working with these accounts and have some great relationships with the stakeholders! The hunter part comes into play in a way that you will be tasked with trying to break into new divisions within our clients and set up meetings for the Account Directors.

What should you know before applying to this role?

We are consultants to our clients and you must love the thrill of the sale and breaking into companies! This role will have an administrative aspect where you will be setting up meetings, handling PO's, and contracts etc. You will be the go to person on the team when it comes to lending a hand in all areas of the job and needs for the team. If you don't like rejection and being in a fast paced environment, this role will not be for you. If you are seeking to learn and grow in your career from the most seasoned sales executives, this will be an amazing opportunity to roll up your sleeves and launch your sales career.

What type of clients do we work with and what type of work do we do?

Many of our clients are in the CPG industry but we also work in tech, food service, retail, healthcare, and B2B. We are a tech enabled services company, holding our client's hands every step of the way.

Here is a glimpse of what this role entails, is this right for you?

  • Outreach to new leads/contacts in GutCheck’s Key Accounts business 
  • Set up demo meetings for the assigned Salesperson
  • Accurately explain GutCheck value to clients
  • Research and Mapping of our Key Accounts organizations
  • Assistance with client presentations
  • Customizing marketing collateral
  • Assistance with creating email templates
  • Overall Sales Support
  • Assist with execution of marketing campaigns 
  • Maintenance and communication of client subscription budgets

Here are some things we are looking for...

  • 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a selling environment
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, non-corporate setting 
  • Self-motivated and willing to take responsibility for growth and development 
  • A hybrid of a hunter sales mentality to break into new divisions of our existing clients, but also an ability to support existing business and grow relationships
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to manage a large number of leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities in a CRM system quickly and accurately  
  • Detail oriented and organized 
  • A desire to have fun and learn!
