TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER / TEAM MANAGER
DESCRIPTION
Adswerve is looking for an aspiring Technical Project Manager / Team Manager to join the Technical Services team. The ideal candidate for this key team management position will possess a natural tendency toward analytical thinking, combined with strong client-facing consultative communication, presentation, training and coaching skills. They will be naturally curious about data purity, big data analysis, machine learning, and product development, and have demonstrated strengths in project management. In addition, this candidate will have a desire to mentor and encourage growth in others.
Reporting to the VP of Technical Services, the Technical Project Manager / Team Manager will manage a small team of Data Engineers while simultaneously managing technical projects of various size and scope related to our clients’ Google Analytics and Google Cloud Platform implementations and ongoing support projects.
Technical Project Manager Responsibilities (50%)
Partner with digital analysts, data engineers, data scientists and account managers, encouraging collaboration and driving client projects forward to achieve client goals
Utilize technical skills to add value to projects
Oversee project scope, schedule and resources
Ensure team members are tracking and reporting daily project progress
Track project progress and help remove obstacles
Ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time and on budget
Manage multiple projects concurrently
Utilize Asana and Harvest to monitor projects
Provide project status updates to department heads and leadership team
Monitor team member workloads and reassign tasks to balance workloads
Team Manager Responsibilities (50%)
Align with Director and other Managers on team goals
Guide team to implement best practices in solution development and client relationships
Clearly define performance expectations
Ensure accountability and provide ongoing informal feedback, coaching and mentoring
Conduct formal performance evaluations
Promote professional development opportunities
Develop and foster supportive working relationships, motivation and engagement
Prioritize direct report workload based on customer and business priorities
Oversee work completed by team from a high level to ensure timely delivery and quality of work
Work to improve general Technical Services and company processes
Actively engage in recruiting and hiring new employees
Work to improve onboarding process
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
College degree or equivalent project / team management experience
2+ years of technical project management experience
PMP certification preferred
Demonstrated success in coaching and mentoring others
Experience with Asana, Harvest, Salesforce, G Suite or similar project management tools preferred
Proficient communication and presentation skills, including leading group training
Exposure to SQL, Python, and/or Google Cloud Platform with a desire to learn more
Ability to work on a team and manage individual prioritized workload
