Position Summary

We are looking for a Scrum Master who can direct teams, ensure that organization goals are attained, implement and monitor development processes, and report to senior management. Should demonstrate Agile management expertise, software development knowledge, communication and interpersonal abilities, leadership, proactivity and self-motivation. The Scrum Master adheres to Agile/Scrum best practices, standards, and guidelines. Acts as a facilitator, helping the team maximize performance and increase efficiencies by removing impediments, minimizing distractions, escalating issues, and managing the roster ensuring the team has the proper tools in place.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices to deliver exceptional value to SRS Acquiom 
  • Facilitate getting the work done, while developing a deep understanding of our business and products 
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution 
  • Guide and coach the team on becoming self-organized and getting maximum benefit from Agile 
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments 
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can effectively be raised and solved 
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog 
  • Work with teams across the Business and Technology team to assist in areas such as build management, requirements and priority management and release planning 
  • Support the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and lead by example 
  • Assess the Agile maturity of the team and organization and provide coaching to further maturity 
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information 

Qualifications

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM) or equivalent 
  • Scrum Master role for at least three years in multiple software development teams that were diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory 
  • Excellent communicating and mentoring skills 
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency 
  • Flexible and able to assist in tasks such as gathering requirements, determining root cause for production failures, etc. 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task across multiple teams 
  • Promotes strategic alignment and is methodical, detail oriented, efficient, organized, highly productive, a true self-starter 
  • Bachelor’s degree 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NetSuite (or other ERP / CRM system) 
  • Experience in environments using technologies such as PHP, Javascript, Angular, PostgreSQL, Test Driven Development, CI/CD, Jira
