Responsibilities

Lead standard Agile team ceremonies including daily standup, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
Provide Servant Leadership to the team via communication, mentorship, interactions with train leadership, etc.
Ensure the team meets delivery commitments by protecting from external distractions, managing dependencies, removing blockers, and partnering with the Product Owner on how the team brings in new work.
Represent the team at train and enterprise activities including release planning, Scrum of Scrums, Communities of Practice, train retrospectives
Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and results, drive continuous improvement, and bring others together to reconcile differences.
Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
Support one DevOps engineering team (Scrum), and one operational support team (Kanban).

Basic Qualifications 

Demonstrated experience as a scum master using Agile and SAFe methodologies
Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments
Passion around facilitation, empowerment, and servant leadership
Tremendous organization and communication skills
Experienced with and within Scrum, Kanban, and/or XP teams
Knowledge of sound Agile engineering practices (TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, etc.)
U.S. Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree – Master’s Degree Preferred.
Desired degrees: Geography, Geographic information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Geosciences, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Photogrammetry, or a related field.
