The Development team at Greystone Technology is responsible for not only designing and building fantastic websites on WordPress, but also custom development on more advanced website integration and business applications. We are looking for an individual to help us be successful, taking a project from start to finish and accounting for the all of the in-between details. What are your super powers? If your powers involve being organized and process-oriented but also able to cast vision and anticipate all of the unsaid questions, then you might be who we’re looking for!

Project management is more than keeping things organized, it’s about being able to read your clients, anticipate their requests before they even say it, working with the team to make sure the project keeps moving forward even if the world keeps pushing back and being able to communicate all of the good and bad things.

This position can present personal and career development opportunities through mentorship, training, and direct guidance. Because of this, we are open to any level of project management experience that you may have. We are looking for the person who add some unique to our Development team. Having a background or knowledge of web development or a development cycle is desired as this will help you be successful in this position.

This position will be a hybrid of remote and in-person work. Applicants local to the Colorado front range will be given priority.

Core Responsibilities

The Project Manager in Development will be responsible for full-cycle project and client management within the Development team at Greystone.  This includes, but isn’t limited to:

  • Development of project scopes; considering resources, technological constraints, and cost estimates in the context of business impacts and identified risks
  • Working with the Development team to create and execute project work plans, revising as appropriate to meet the frequently changing needs and requirements of our customers
  • Defining project scope and giving clear instructions to design and development team members
  • Communicating project objectives and success criteria to the Development team
  • Identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities
  • Assuring that projects are completed according to schedule and within budget
  • Reviewing deliverables prepared by team before delivery to customers
  • Working collaboratively with vendors and other teams within the organization to create positive client outcomes
  • Assisting with developing quality assurance processes, documentation, and testing where needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of project management software
  • A solid understanding of web design standards, usability, and rich media
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • A solid understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, and run team meetings
  • An ability to anticipate issues, identify future choke points, and work ahead to alleviate potential issues
  • An ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Great attention to detail and be highly organized

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily knowledge-worker oriented using computer systems.  Occasional exertion and lifting of up to 20 pounds to move office or computer equipment.  Occasional crawling, kneeling, and squatting.  Constant use of computer (keyboard/mouse), and phone.  Visually inspects, prepares, and analyzes data & figures; views computer constantly.  Occasional travel (car).  Occasional exposure to outdoor environmental conditions as a result of travel.
