Project Manager – Enterprise Data

Position Summary

KG Lewis is seeing an experienced Project Manager responsible for oversight, coordination and tracking of projects, initiatives and ongoing operational processes within the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) group and for managing successful end-to-end execution of specific projects within the scope of the EDO initiative. The ideal candidate is a proven facilitator in program and project management, with a track record of driving planning and execution, helping global teams establish internal business operations, ensuring systems readiness, leading cross-functional team collaboration and delivering innovative business solutions. Experience with data governance, quality, management or analytics initiatives and solid project management methodology are required. The Project Manager is instrumental in developing and growing business relationships with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Project Management: Manage schedule, budget, risks, issues, status, resources, coordination and planning across teams, including external professional services partners.

  • Scrum Master activities of managing backlog, sprint planning, daily scrum as needed for non-development work
  • Drive projects through the entire project lifecycle from Idea through Delivery and Adoption
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure all efforts related to planning and delivery are clearly aligned, coordinated and prepared for end-to-end support
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams in impact assessments, requirements definition, trade-offs, resource planning and change control
  • Ensure that all departments are prepared for new releases and all items are completed to deliver internally and externally
  • Identify and coordinate project critical paths and identify/remove bottlenecks; identify and track issues and risks through to resolution
  • Drive project and process readiness of internal business group

Program Management: In collaboration with team leads, facilitate longer-term program activities:

  • Manage project portfolio including shared resources, cross-project dependencies, process improvement, and new project proposals and approval cycle for long-term planning
  • Create and own the master program/project schedule and drive team accountability; planning and tracking of milestones, schedule, resources, dependencies, and success criteria for each functional department across all phases of the program
  • Create, maintain and report high-level program/project dashboards and both financial and non-financial metrics
  • Promote team collaboration, program and project management maturity, best practices and tools; with an emphasis on moving toward Agile

Internal EDO Team Coordination:

  • Facilitate and coordinate the development of new practices and processes within the EDO team which could include key messaging, communication plan
  • Establish and maintain team collaboration sites (SharePoint and/or Confluence) within the EDO team and EDO stakeholders
  • Manage and facilitate the cadence of EDO internal team communications and operations

Education and Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience delivering projects in the data management area: BI/DW, MDM, Analytics, Data Science, Data Governance and/or Data Quality; Minimum of 6 years of directly related program management experience
  • Experience with data governance, data quality and metadata management technologies, specifically Informatica Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog and / or Informatica Data Quality is highly desirable
  • Experience with financial asset management industry will be considered a candidate differentiator
  • Strong knowledge of program/project management methods and tools; Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban
  • 3+ years Agile Scrum Master experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with change management and organizational readiness as part of delivering new capabilities and systems
  • Ability to build trusted relationships
  • Influential communication (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Proven leader of global cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and ability to track multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Can do attitude, team player, fun and energetic
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • PMP, CAMP, or CSM certification preferred
