An effective BA Manager will have excellent hands-on BA skills including strong requirements gathering and writing experience as well as a demonstrable track record of success communicating and building relationships with customers and business stake-holders of all levels. You should have recent experience working alongside with, and managing, a team of Business Analysts focusing on core ecommerce systems. You will also be experienced working closely with key business stakeholders as well as our team of Product Owners, other specialized BAs, and Developers to analyze project needs and detailed requirements.  A key to this role’s success will depend upon your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with our internal business partners.  

In this job you will:

  • Manage a team of 3-4 technically skilled Business Analysts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the business goals a project will address and the existing processes and audiences that will be impacted.
  • Capture and effectively document requirements and user stories, inclusive of facilitating dialog and decision-making with stakeholders around relative business value and competing demands.
  • Provide thought leadership in driving teams toward creative solutions in developing the project vision, even when not clearly defined.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from true underlying needs.
  • Translate business goals, user needs and process improvements into a project outline (requirements, success criteria, process flow, scope)

You bring to the table:

  • 4+ years of Business Analysis experience including requirements gathering and documentation.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Strong experience in the eCommerce space, including relevant, up-to-date familiarity with testing tools, SQL, PHP, and other analytical tools available for use
  • Experience and demonstrated ability utilizing Business Analyst and Project Management best practices.
  • Proficient with Agile and iterative project management concepts, best practices and tools including principles of the Agile Manifesto, velocity, burndown, story points, etc.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals, including executive level stakeholders
  • Ability to decipher business implications of system designs as well as the technical implications of business requirements
  • Ability to react to change productively and positively in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstration of initiative to learn new skills and be a self-starter and able to work
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to “roll up your sleeves”, drive forward progress and get the job done while maintaining a high level of team morale and collaboration
  • Ability to work with both technology/systems groups and business units, especially in developing requirements and testing of new system independently under minimal supervision
