What You Will Do

We're looking for a Director of Program and Release Management to join our team! This position will oversee the entire Product Development Life Cycle. The ideal individual for this role will be highly analytical and able to provide a quantitative approach to processes and programs. Additionally, they will provide program leadership, strategic planning, and project management functions by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to execute against a common plan.

How You Will Spend Your Days

  • Defining, communicating, and executing the vision and strategies for effective project management across the organization
  • Supervising and leading project managers, scrum masters and support staff
  • Facilitating governance for the project portfolio and each individual project
  • Scheduling and balancing team activities to meet deadlines for deliverables and meetings
  • Providing periodic review of team member performance using both formal and informal mechanisms; mentoring team members in best practices and provide skill development
  • Managing and overseeing department and enterprise project budgets
  • Determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring receivables for projects; analyzing and reporting on project profitability
  • Keeping leadership informed of changes related to new and ongoing projects within the organization; resolving and/or escalating project issues in a timely fashion
  • Delivering engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations

You’ll also be responsible for:

  • Establishing a PMO discipline for an ambitious growing company needing structure and reliable execution
  • Remaining accountable for on-time, in-budget delivery of business critical projects as defined in the overall organizational strategic plan.
  • Acquiring resources and coordinating the effort of team members and third party contractors or consultants to deliver company-wide programs/projects.
  • Overlaying formal project management on top of agile execution in order to support key business decisions/planning while balancing the team’s preferred methodology of execution
  • Establishing and growing a team of project managers and scrum masters while developing and enhancing internal project processes. 
  • Engaging as a senior leader throughout the entire lifecycle of projects ensuring teams are successful and unblocked.

What You Bring to This Role

  • 10+ years of Program or Project Management experience – preferably in a SaaS company 
  • Experience in delivering products for cloud/SaaS deployments
  • Significant Agile experience, including as Scrum Master and/or Product Owner. Experience with Agile transformation.
  • Experience leading and managing complex, large-scale, cross-organizational, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems, resolving conflict, and implementing innovative solutions
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation, collaboration and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of $150,000 to $175,000, and participation in the Founder’s Pool program.
