Contractor - Project Coordinator
Description
Will oversee the execution and completion of projects as required by Sales Operations. Manages project resources, supporting the company’s Revenue Operations projects to deliver satisfaction. Provides and maintains project’s budget, resource planning, and coordination of activities for the Executive Director of Sales Operations. Monitors project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections. Oversees performance of the technology, or system integration projects or engagements, as needed. Utilizes organization, management, and communication skills more than technical skills. Serves as mediator to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing solutions to internal clients.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Works across Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Renewals, and Deal Desk to support projects in the following areas:
- Serves as the primary point of contact with key strategic special projects
- Understands business fundamentals, with the ability to interface with Leadership Management
- Creates and manages implementation plans, tasks, deadlines, and dependencies
- Leads and facilitates project “kick off “session to review assumptions and internal customer expectations, gather requirements, and educate teams on product and services, etc
- Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with stakeholders
- Works as a liaison within the Sales Ops organization, and interfaces with all involved teams to validate that proper scope, resource pools, and key dependencies are being defined and developed
- Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks, providing early visibility to schedules/milestones that are at risk
- Builds detailed project plans and schedules for products across all processes, independently managing day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of a large-scale project
- Maintains an overall program level risk and issue log. Facilitates risk mitigation and issue resolution across functional project owners and sponsors
- Coordinates and facilitates communications with management and across teams
- Assists the teams with project best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics
- Identifies and facilitates opportunities for process improvement
- Confronts issues openly and quickly
- Tactfully communicates sensitive information
- Provides supportive analysis that impacts the use of resources
Preferred Skills:
- PMP Certification
- Experience managing projects in technical environments
- Experience with diverse software technologies and SAAS a plus
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ professional work experience, with 3 years of prior PM experience related to software or related technology
- Advance knowledge of project management methods and processes
- Proven experience managing key customer relationships and projects
- Excellent facilitation and organizational skills
- Superior ability to multi-task
- Advanced MS Office: MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
- Proven time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and business process development skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, yet be self-directed, proactive, and action-oriented
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies with hands-on experience managing projects that are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest quality possible
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment in complex situations and function independently with initiative, creativity, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated project management experience in leading large, complex projects and delivering them to successful conclusion
- Ability to analyze and diagnose project performance problems and execute effective corrective actions
