Guild is one of Denver’s fastest growing startups - increasing economic mobility for working adults in America, providing education and support to help every student survive and thrive in the economy of tomorrow. Our education benefits platform helps employers offer education as a benefit to their employees, and our network of nonprofit universities and education institutions helps provide every Guild student with the right academic pathway to advance their education and career. In order to achieve our mission to serve 1000s more students and accelerate our growth, we recently raised a $21M Series B round with top tier investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Social Capital, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures.

One of the most critical roles that will support our goals is the College Credit Program Associate. You’ll work closely with other members of the company, as well as employers and university partners to help translate workplace training into college credit for our students - saving them time and building their confidence as they head back to school. Your closest relationship will be with Britt, a co-founder at Guild, to whom you’ll report directly. You will play an integral role in implementing Guild’s Credit-for-Training process. Of course, the process and Guild’s needs will change, so your role will also evolve with time.

A day in our open, collaborative workspace will look a little like this:

  • Reviewing workforce training from our employer partners, spending time reviewing training materials and assessments in various learning management systems
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams like Client Success, University Partnerships, and Marketing to support the credit awarding process from start to finish for employer partners
  • Brainstorming on how to enhance the experience and iterate on the current process
  • Creating documentation materials, including multi-page synthesis on training procedure and learning methodology, spreadsheets analyzing time on task, Powerpoints and case studies on outcomes, and marketing messaging for website, emails, and calls

In this role, you’ll grow and expand your expertise by:

  • Running the day to day operations of the credit granting process - from packaging all workforce training to transcript generation to creating training for our student-facing roles
  • Building effective collateral to share both internally and externally about our Credit-for-Training process to improve effectiveness and efficiency of our efforts
  • Project managing the entire credit packaging process, both internally and externally
  • Supporting senior leaders as they liaise with top leaders of employers and universities and observing workforce training onsite
  • Learning the ins and outs of Guild as you use your organizational, multitasking, and problem solving skills to meet deadlines and drive university enrollment through university process

You’ll know if you’re successful by:

  • Developing a deep familiarity with the landscape of credit articulation, as well as corporate learning and development
  • Getting up to speed on Guild’s existing Credit-for-Training process, and making substantial tweaks and additions based on your insight and learnings
  • Taking primary ownership over the day-to-day execution of the process, ensuring all deadlines are met and external stakeholders are pleased
  • Tracking the ROI of Credit-for-Training for our students

You’ll join a team:

  • Of learners & problem-solvers dedicated to our dual mission of changing education in America while building a successful, high-growth company with long-term value
  • Committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment

What you’ll add to Guild - as an individual and part of the broader team:

  • 2+ years of experience as a teacher or an instructional designer, with demonstrated experience in both teaching pedagogy and course creation
  • A growth-oriented mindset reinforced by your enthusiasm for rapid iteration and prototyping
  • Experience with project management, with an eye for detail and love of spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Gmail
  • Examples of courses you’ve constructed and projects you’ve managed from start to finish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with clients
  • A drive to work hard and a plan for how you can refresh and recharge while working in a startup
  • Something else? Wonderful, we’re curious to learn more about you!
