Your role will include some aspects of a scrum master, some aspects of an Agile coach, and you will also employ program management principles; providing reporting and analytics to engineering managers and product managers as you help facilitate healthy product development. This is a collaborative and team oriented role that will have you coordinating with local engineering teams, as well as teams in San Diego, the United Kingdom and Austria. In this job you will:

  • Facilitate planning, demos, stand-ups/team meetings as necessary, focus on improved workflow and productivity. Help create teams that are self-managing.
  • Assist the Product Managers and Engineering Managers with agile processes to accelerate product delivery.
  • Act as a project manager when necessary. Facilitate communications between teams to identify and manage dependencies between the teams and third parties or between multiple development teams which are sometimes spread across geographic regions.
  • Identify areas where documentation or project tracking is missing or needs updating and offer support as necessary. Determine and maintain relevant metrics to track team and project performance.
  • Act as liaison between customer facing teams and engineering management to help identify issues and prioritize accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Agile leads in other geographic regions to ensure consistency across teams, develop processes, plans and clear dependencies.

You bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of experience with Agile methodology (including experience as a Scrum Master)​
  • Experience in the software industry is a must
    • Information security or malware experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong facilitation skill is a must
    • The ability and expertise to be a strong coach, influencer and role-model within our Agile practice is required
  • Program/project management skills are a plus
  • Personality traits include:
    • Ability to solve problems using a combination of processes and methodologies including: Agile, Kanban, scrum and others.
    • Ability to identify potential problems, blockers, schedule issues and quickly identify stakeholders needed to resolve and organize appropriately.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Highly assertive communications skills, not afraid to identify responsible parties, schedule meetings, and pick up the phone when necessary.
