ACTuate is seeking a talented individual inspired by learning, adventure, and working within a fast-paced start-up environment to join our team in the role of Project Implementation Manager. 

Responsibilities

The person in this role will be responsible for successful implementation of projects in various regions across the country. Regular travel 50-75% of the time is required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Complete initial on-site facility energy assessments including equipment asset inventory, detailed HVAC and refrigeration system evaluations, and 3D facility scan.
  • Accurately fill out software based field forms with data collected on-site
  • Identify subcontractor trade partners (in new markets), and negotiate rates for technicians to install specified controls and network equipment (HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical)
  • Train trade partner technicians on ACTuate standards and best practices for installation of power metering equipment, network equipment, and mechanical equipment controls.
  • Manage all aspects of project implementation including planning, coordinating schedules, performance metrics, commissioning, quality control, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Internal Project Coordinator and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and are commissioned accurately
  • Build positive working relationships with our customers and their managers and maintenance teams
  • Communicate regularly with customers to ensure that their needs and expectations are being met
  • Work with customer teams to help them understand the implementation process and train them on the operation of controls upon installation completion
  • Actively participate in the design, creation, and documentation of tools, systems, processes required to manage projects and tasks efficiently

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Vocational Trade Degree or equivalent experience combination
  • Minimum 3-5 Years Project Management experience in mechanical or electrical systems, facilities maintenance, energy efficiency, renewables, building science, or related industries (Senior Project Managers are also encouraged to apply)
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Capable of proactively managing numerous projects, adapting to change, and continually following through to ensure successful project completion
  • Resourceful problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Comfortable learning and mastering new software applications through a combination of organized training, online tutorials, and independent learning
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, safely climb ladders, move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and work in cold and hot conditions
  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, working both collaboratively and with a high degree of autonomy
  • A commitment and desire to make a positive social and environmental impact on the world

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in HVAC and/or Refrigeration Systems or 2+ years experience in energy efficiency retrofits or related technologies
  • EPA Section 608 Technician Certification
