UnitMap Production Artist

You Are:
- Meticulous with incredible attention to detail and ability to move quickly and sustain focus on repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
- Skilled at creating clean designs that have precisely drawn lines
- Able to see how a high-quality technical drawing is aesthetically appealing
- Adept at producing designs that combine both information and visuals
- Masterful at working with various file types with speed, precision and a focus on quality

You Can Expect To:
- Leverage expertise in design and computer applications to produce clean and technically accurate files
- Reproduce rasterized artwork into a vector format using Adobe Illustrator
- Modify file formats via scaling, cropping, retouching, repositioning or eliminating defective imaging to generate quality and consistency of content production for a large volume of software projects
- Represent information in Illustrator using various tools and drawing styles
- Effectively communicate and understand production specifications to/from Project Managers and Development Team
- Complete work correctly and efficiently to meet appropriate deadlines
- Organize and batch large numbers of files with consistent naming systems
- Compensation: $15 - $20 an hour
We Would Like:
- Intermediate knowledge in Adobe Illustrator; with proficiency with the pen tool, creating shapes, layer structure, using pathfinder, and swift movement through files using Keyboard shortcuts.
- It is imperative that you understand layer structure in Illustrator and how elements within each layer affect other layers. Must know how to create and read sublayers and layers accurately with the ability to stay organized while navigating through files with huge amounts of layers and many vector objects.
- Strong attention to detail and capacity to sustain focus on repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
- Interest in the technical aspects of design such as how code could impact your design. Must have the patience to read through code on occasion to determine file errors.
- A strong eye for referencing and reading various files to access and recreate the information.
- Ability to work optimally with various graphic formats
- Ability to assess the scope of work and effort required
- Aptitude for working under aggressive deadlines, while maintaining focus, speed, and accuracy
- Team player with strong communication skills and ability to gain clarity when the direction is required
- Proficient with Mac OS platform
