We are seeking a Software Developer who will be responsible for programming custom WordPress-based software and web applications as part of a fast-moving team.   Deliverables include: building custom software and web applications, maintaining legacy software, triaging and troubleshooting development issues, supporting other team members, and other development duties as assigned. This is a flexible position: in-house is strongly preferred but fully remote work is available.

You Are:

  • Skilled in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.

  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment 

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented

You Can Expect To:

  • Build and create interactive, cutting-edge, responsive software products and applications on time, on budget and up to client expectations.

  • Ensure the development projects are built following current industry standards and best practices.

  • Manage content updates and implement website modifications and enhancements for multiple website projects, based on requirements and design specifications. 

  • Maintain and support legacy software.

  • Track issues/resolutions to analyze and fix recurring issues, and recommend long-term solutions, when necessary.

  • Support and assist other team members, when needed. 

  • Perform testing of web applications and systems, engaging users when necessary.

  • Act as a participant initial user acceptance testing and report results.

  • Participate in assessing scope of work and effort required.

Candidate Competencies:

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Adobe Suite (preferred).

  • Experience with UX/UI best practices and current industry standards.

  • Experience working with GIT version control systems.

  • Experience working with a Linux/Mac shell environment.

  • Design background not required but strongly preferred.

  • Experience with automation tools such as Gulp or Grunt (preferred but not required).

  • Excellent team and communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, testing and troubleshooting.

  • 2-3 years of development experience.

  • Ability to work constructively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines and multiple priorities.

  • Ability to gain clarity when direction is required.

  • Willingness to share best practices, continually improve processes and provide clear and consistent reporting to senior team members/management.

  • Self-directed, proactive, and independent in a dynamic and aggressive startup environment.

  • Salary Disclosure for Colorado  $55k - $65k annually + benefits
