Job description:

TurboTenant is seeking a talented product management guru with experience building technical products to help us grow. This position requires someone who can work across different functional teams and can use data and analytics to plan and design new features. The ideal candidate is passionate about building products that customers love. We need you to bring your experience and expertise to TurboTenant and help us build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy, building consensus, and coordinating product schedules with design and engineering teams. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, communication skills, a unique blend of business & technical savvy, and collaboration. This is much more than just a product position, we are looking for someone with a thirst to do something different every day, someone that has experience in a wide array of product management tactics and understands the needs of a fast growing tech startup!


 

Responsibilities include:

• Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.

• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.

• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.

• Define and drive a product roadmap, deciding when to execute the plan and when to abandon it.

• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.

• Drive product launches including working with internal teams, executives, and other product management team members.

• Keep a finger on the pulse of our competition, and develop strategies and tactics to reduce the threat.

• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

• Represent the company by interacting with customers to solicit feedback on company products and services.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Qualities the ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in a Product Manager role including day-to-day management of a development team.

• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.

• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.

• Tech savvy and passionate about building products.

• Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.

• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.

• Subject matter expert/industry experience a strong plus; including, but not limited to:

  • Peer to peer payments

  • E-signature

  • Legal Form software

  • Freemium SMB software

  • Support ticketing system

  • Phone and Messaging services using Twilio/SendGrid integration

  • CRM software

• The ability to work within a weekly sprint schedule (e.g. can meet deadlines and manage daily time to reach specific weekly team goals)

• A desire to jump head-first into startup life.

• Ambition, aggressiveness, and a burning passion to change the rental process.

Experience and skills needed:

  • 5+ years experience in a Product Manager role including day-to-day management of a development team.

  • Experience with best practice agile scrum development and lean startup principles.

  • Experience with collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack, Trello, InVision and G Suite

  • Experience with on-boarding and product analytics tools such as Intercom, Mixpanel and Segment

  • Experience with user testing, experimentation and feature flagging concepts and tools

  • Familiarity with mobile technology, web services and back-end application workflows.

  • Experience coordinating product development cycles and software development schedules.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
