Microsoft Azure Technical Specialist

The Microsoft Azure Specialist will work with Partners/Client technical architects/engineers to develop Azure solutions to help their business delivery excellent service. This position requires hands-on technical design and implementation of Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions, and ensure the functionality is compatible with existing client infrastructure. Developing Azure that integrates with public, private and hybrid solutions is essential. This position involves direct contact with Partners/Clients to define technical requirements, determine project scope, design/configure and implementation the required solution. Additional responsibilities include assisting with SOW preparation, and serve as a technical consultant and advise clients on infrastructure functionality and suitability. The Microsoft Azure Specialist plays an important role interacting with client management to grow their Azure business.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Analyze complex business requirements presented by Partners and design technical solutions for new or existing Azure solutions
• Determine system specifications, client requirements and hardware/software compatibility with Microsoft Azure
• Assist Partners with incident resolution
• Provide technical advice to help Partner manage Azure Cloud services
• Develop designs, plans and documentation of existing and new solutions
• Implement Azure cloud solutions and perform system test to ensure operational stability.
• Plan and implement system upgrades and design enhancements.
• Partner with technical support teams to achieve client deliverables
• Provide coaching to technical support teams on Microsoft Azure services and solutions
• Leverage technical knowledge with system vendors to assist with design and system configuration
• Drive continuous improvement with system implementation deployment procedures

• Develop and implement technical solutions for PAX8 business partners.

• Provide technical advice and guidance on solutions to help our business partners grow their business.
• Align with ITIL change management procedures

Required Experience and Skills:

• 7+ years’ experience with virtualization technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
• Experienced with on-premise Azure Active Directory and the integration with Azure Active Directory
• Azure network experience, VPN, Azure DNS, network routing and load balancers.
• On-premise network experience with switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers.
• Experience designing and planning Azure environments for small business environments including application dependencies, network connectivity, and overall virtualization technologies
• Experience in Disaster Recovery using Azure Site Recovery Manager
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server including Active Directory, Clustering, DHCP, Files and Print Services
• Experienced with Microsoft Exchange, O365 and data migration tools
• SSO experience with SAML v2, OAUTH, and form based sign-on differences
• Experience with securing systems through Group Policy Management and Microsoft Intune Policy Management, and understand differences
• Experience with software deployment technologies and frameworks
• Works well in a collaborate environment, as well as independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of writing proposals, papers, and documentation, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to clients and upper management
• Be proactive and take the lead with problem resolution and coach support engineers on complex issues
• Proficient in Microsoft license models/packages
• Ability to work independently, prioritize projects, and keep the Partner informed on progress.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems
• Proven experience of delivering excellent client service

Education:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable experience.
• 5+ years of system administration experience in a large heterogeneous Linux/Windows environment is required. 
• MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP and/or Cloud certifications (preferred)
• MS Office suite (including MS Project and advance Excel skills) and Sharepoint
• Project Management certified (preferred)
•  ITIL foundation certification
