VP of Channels and Alliances

OVERVIEW
We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Vice President of Channels and Alliances to own revenue and profitability that come from strategic partners. You and your team will prospect into new partners, execute reseller or referral agreements, and grow those relationships over time.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and execute a channels and alliances strategy to build a robust portfolio of partners that drives leveraged revenue growth through (1) indirect sales of our messaging product embedded inside of partners' SaaS products and (2) marketplace referrals to our direct sales team.
- Identify and prioritize revenue growth opportunities with potential SaaS vendors including horizontal CRM systems (eg, Salesforce, HubSpot), vertical CRM systems (ie, financial, hospitality, higher education, property management, real estate), applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR systems, cloud-based VOIP systems, and others.
- Build the channels and alliances team from the ground up. Develop revenue plan and corresponding coverage model, hiring plan, and comp plans. Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
- Serve as a strategic leader in all planning, implementation, and execution to achieve and exceed corporate targets for revenue, gross margin, client satisfaction, vertical diversification, and ongoing compliance with regulatory, quality, and contractual requirements.
- Develop strong relationships with strategic partners, maintaining relationships throughout the entire business lifecycle, and working with partners to develop joint solution synergies and enable their go-to-market teams.
- Collaborate with the direct sales team to manage (1) alliances in a way that maximizes revenue and (2) channels in a way that minimizes channel conflict.
- Ensure accurate, regular reporting on metrics for the overall channels and alliances program as well as individual partners.
- Proactively provide customer feedback to relevant TextUs team members to provide feedback on the customer experience and recommend product enhancements.
WHO YOU ARE
- 8+ years of partner development experience including 5+ years channel sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting / exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of how SaaS companies operate and how to use sales methodology and process to win their business.
- Possess a deep, executive contact list among SaaS providers that could be potential partners.
- Comfortable building a team from the ground up, working as an individual contributor at first and then leading by example / willing to still get your hands dirty once the team is built.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to align stakeholders and manage multiple programs simultaneously.
- Demonstrated record of leading the negotiation and closing of complex enterprise sales opportunities with senior customer executives.
- Professional leader who runs a disciplined sales process and forecasts accurately.
- Excellent people management, coaching and development skills.

- Topics: You will come prepared with questions about the role, team, product to ensure this role is the best fit for you.
- Reference check
- Due to the level of this role we will be conducting three separate reference calls to allow us to have a holistic perspective on your experience
- Dinner w. Executive Leadership Team (In Person, Denver, CO)
- This will be an opportunity for you to meet with most of our Leadership team and get to know them on a more personal level. While there isn't a structured agenda or questions, the conversation will lean towards the Leadership team understanding who you are as a person and your perspectives as a leader.
