Pay Rate: $43,000-48,000

Job Summary:
LCJP’s Bilingual Case Coordinator (BCC) coordinates restorative justice cases by working closely with
responsible and harmed parties (offenders and victims), volunteer facilitators and referring agents
including the Longmont Police. The BCC plays a critical role in LCJP’s efforts to deliver high-quality
services that uphold restorative principles and apply those to effectively work alongside criminal justice
agents who are often guided by a different philosophy. This requires creativity, flexibility, and
leadership. The BCC is the primary contact for Spanish-speaking participants; familiarity with Latinx
culture is helpful. Because LCJP is a leader in the restorative justice movement, the BCC will have the
opportunity to teach and train volunteers and others in these emerging tools and techniques. They will
facilitate approximately one case each month, and take the lead on implementing LCJP’s RESTORE
program for theft cases.
Daily Tasks include:
• Reviewing police reports, conducting intake calls, case oversight
• Communication via phone and email with program participants, volunteers, and referring officers
• Scheduling and data entry into case management database
• Ongoing projects including volunteer training and supervision
Qualifications & Skills
• Bilingual in Spanish/English
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Technological proficiency and experience using data management systems and organizational software (Office 365, Google Suite and more)
• Enjoy working with diverse populations
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree OR relevant experience
• Interest and willingness to work closely with law enforcement officers and judicial officials
• Appreciation of and commitment to:
o Restorative principles and values
o Taking responsibility for one’s actions
o Anti-bias and cultural competency
o Conflict resolution principles & values
o Mindful communication, giving and receiving feedback
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
The Bilingual Case Coordinator typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. The case coordinator may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
COVID 19 modifications: The LCJP staff has been primarily working remotely since March 13, 2020 due to COVID 19. As of August 1, 2020, employees began utilizing LCJP offices spaces as needed. While in the office, employees wear face masks and practice social distancing. For this position, initial training for the first 2 months will be in-person at the office. Following training, remote work will be possible. LCJP is committed to complying with all county, state and federal policy related to employee well-being and workplace safety..
