Manager, Curriculum Development 

 

As a Curriculum Development Manager within the Learning Services organization, you will be passionate about training and bringing meaningful technology solutions to our customers’, partners, and internal technical staff needs. You will lead the team that develops learning content for all products providing organizations with leading infrastructure, platform capabilities and industry solutions across all roles. You are an integral member of the Learning Services leadership team with responsibilities that impact our customers, partners, and internal members success with our products with a focus on business metrics and exceptional customer experience. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Manage, develop and grow a high-performing team including curriculum developers 

  • Liaise with key stakeholders (Product Marketing, Partner and Internal Enablement teams) to ensure timely development of training content and an effective curriculum.  

  • Partner with the Product Management team to ensure Curriculum Developers are aligned and resourced to support their vision.  

  • Partner with the Learning Services team to ensure efficient development of engaging training content in multiple formats and modalities.  

  • Manage the production, editing, and instructional design of all courses.  

  • Define and execute content development strategy for multiple modalities, products and specific audiences.  

  • Develop the vision and roadmap over multiple quarters of curriculum evolution, release and cadence. 

  • Manage to industry standard development timeframes through top-notch project management, oversight and effective leadership techniques. 

  • Design and implement methodology, policies, and procedures.  

  • Continue to engage stakeholders and customer base to evolve the curriculum over time. 

  • Research new training techniques and work with teams to make enhancements to existing training programs through industry involvement and engagement. 

  • Work closely with the Learning Services Delivery team to gather their input and feedback on course materials, as well as supervise the curriculum development tasks of those members’ input. 

  • As the organization grows and our internal processes change, work cross-functionally to determine evolving curriculum needs over time. 

  • Determine the impact that our rapid internal growth and changing internal processes will likely have on our external curriculum as it evolves in the next 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, 3 years, etc. 

  • Manage and work with members of the curriculum development team to improve existing competencies and develop new skill sets. 

  • Conduct performance reviews and create staff development plans. 

  • Work with external vendors for systems support, evaluation and scalability. 

  • Develop reporting structure to show development lifecycle, input, output. 

  • Consistently monitor and implement feedback on materials and improvement to courses. 

 

 

Minimum qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience leading a curriculum development team and function within a revenue generating technical training SaaS business that is focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences 

  • Outstanding collaboration and decision-making capability 

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity and strategic skills  

  • Proven results through data-driven monitoring and reporting 

  • Exceptional project management skills across a dozen projects at a time 

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time 

  • Excellent presence with effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting and collaborating with clients, vendors, staff, and internal business partners
