IT Vendor & Contracts Manager

As the IT Vendor & Contracts Manager you will reside in the Procurement Function but will be closely aligned with the Information Technology (IT) Organization. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Vendor Management process, licensing, and contract renewals within the IT Organization. You will work closely with Procurement & IT Leadership with a focus on reducing cost, improving quality, efficiency and effectiveness across all IT spend categories such as Hardware, Software & Network equipment. This role must have a combination of strong organizational, leadership, technical skills and competencies.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with Zayo IT, Procurement, Legal and Compliance Teams to manage our procurement and contract practices
Contribute to the IT Vendor Management strategy
Identify and realize significant cost savings from IT spend categories
Forecast potential savings achieved through negotiations on a quarterly basis
Establish a vendor governance framework in consultation with internal and external stakeholders
Manage all vendor contracts ensuring that SLAs are met with high quality; and manages any disputes, credits or discounts
Create and manage a governance process with vendors that ensures efficient and accurate processing of workflows
Coordinate vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees
Monitor contractual agreements across IT business functions
Ensure all Zayo IT contracts and associated maintenance are renewed on a timely and proactive basis utilizing professional negotiation skills to drive maximum cost savings
Develop effective strategies to identify and address higher-risk vendors
Document performance and service level guarantees, SOWs, and other contractual agreements and ensure consistency
Build and maintain strong business partner relationships through routine meetings, attending business partner staff meetings occasionally and with consistent, proactive and thorough communications
Assist in managing partner relationships; tracking partnership and holding all parties accountable
Identify system and process gaps in the existing environment and make recommendations for future improvement
Actively manage various stages of strategic sourcing related to all IT spend categories:
Conducts spend analysis
Understand business requirements
Analyze supply markets and evaluate vendor risk
Assess and mitigate supply chain disruptions
Develop and execute competitive bidding schedule
Manage end-to-end RFP/vendor selection process and make recommendations for business award
Conduct periodic business review and drive continuous improvement in supply base
Manage vendor performance management (service level, quality, cost, delivery)
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with coursework in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
Must have 3-5 years of relevant IT Vendor Management experience ideally from large Corporations with best practices
Proficient with extrapolating the business value of existing and emerging technologies
Passion for the business value of optimizing business processes with technology
Detail-oriented, data-driven, analytical with strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills; both verbally and written. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization across all departments both internal and external
Ability to collaborate and form partnerships with business and technology colleagues
Ability to multi-task and contribute to many projects in various stages
Strong negotiation skills
Base salary range: $85,000-$100,000
