How you impact patients and practices:
As a Claims Coordinator, you will be a part of a highly engaged and supportive team who is impacting a patient’s ability to receive the highest quality orthodontic care. You will be an Insurance Detective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Coordinating insurance benefits when multiple plans exist
Managing communications with practice staff
Obtaining pre-authorizations
Verifying dental billing codes, document narratives and submit claims
Following up on denied claims and/or in cases when expected payments are outstanding
Posting insurance payments
Processing payment plan adjustments
Supporting patient collections
Our Ideal Candidate:
High School Diploma required
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and solve poorly defined problems
Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Documents
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and active listening
Must exhibit empathy and compassion for patients.
Ability to adapt to change quickly, and show a sense of urgency
Strong judgment and decision making abilities
Natural curiosity with a strong aptitude to learn quickly
Very strong technical aptitude
Experience with processing medical insurance claims and/or eligibility checks (orthodontic or dental claims management preferred) is a plus
Prior experience managing claims while working as a Front Desk Receptionist or Treatment Coordinator is a plus

This position will include a competitive salary and benefits, and may be eligible to earn stock options based on individual contribution and company performance. Compensation commensurate with experience.
