About the team
This position reports to one of our ERP Directors.
What you will be doing
You will be responsible for functional support and analysis of user requirements to maintain Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) including Enterprise Performance Budget Cloud Service (EPBCS), HFM, and Essbase.
• Analyzes user requirements to determine EPM system configuration and/or customization, evaluates business need for system customizations, conducts appropriate cost/benefit analysis and produces functional designs for identified customizations.
• Functional support of EPM applications including EPBCS, HFM, and Essbase to include reporting, metadata maintenance, tier 1 user support, data validation, consolidation, forecast and budget processing, consolidations, and ensure compliance with SOX controls.• Analyzes systems specifications and uses the latest analysis tools to represent business/technical processes in a system solution.• Builds application pages, queries, and reports to support business needs.• Takes proactive measures to ensure optimal application and system performance and works with EPM Systems Architect to address any performance issues.• Writes and executes thorough functional test plans to ensure EPM system changes are working properly including the use of batch scripts, online processes, databases or interface files.• Test and support new application solutions, changes or enhancements made to EPM modules.• Ensures migrated changes are properly implemented and available to users.• Coordinates with EPM developers and accounting/finance users to define detailed requirements, analyze business needs and validate solutions with clients and translate into configuration and/or customization functional design.• Through research and knowledge of EPM systems and applications, determines most effective technical approach to define and resolve identified problem(s) with assistance and minimal client impact.
What you bring• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, accounting, finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Must have 5+ years' experience• Good understanding of EPM systems and how they support the finance and accounting close and forecast cycles• Working knowledge of business process flows in an EPM system• In-depth knowledge of EPM applications tools is required, as well as an in-depth knowledge of EPM system configuration and security• Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills• Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks• Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner• Ability to understand and apply technical concepts• Ability to solve problems using learned techniques and tools• Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships• Flexibility, versatility, dependability
