About the opportunity
Contentful’s Professional Services team provides technical and strategic guidance to customers and partners through a combination of paid engagements and unpaid programs.
The team is responsible for delivering Services engagements, ensuring Contentful customers are successfully deploying Contentful Solutions and are achieving business value quickly. Our Professional Services team is principally outwards-facing, they have credibility with technologists and developers of all levels and are effective liaisons with all kinds of customer stakeholders (developers, content creators, marketeers, business developers).
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, have a successful record of accomplishment, and experience collaborating with sales to grow services revenue. You should possess a broad level of technical understanding, as well as operational and business acumen.
What to expect?
- Responsible for accurately forecasting and achieving services sales targets for your assigned area
- Responsible for actively maintaining a PS-opportunity pipeline and ensuring proactive, efficient, and relevant engagement upstream in Contentful’s sales process; working closely with Sales with appropriate sense of urgency
- Synthesize and communicate industry insights and customer feedback to our Customer Experience, Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams
- Build a team culture that is collaborative, inclusive, and respectful
What you need to be successful?
- Familiarity with the Contentful technology stack; expert knowledge not necessary but you must be able to accurately communicate scope expectations with customer executives and technical stakeholders alike
- Familiarity with modern SaaS tools that form the Digital Experience Stack including tools for experimentation, translation, eCommerce integrations, value proposition of CMSs, and latest digital platform experience trends
- University degree or relevant work experience
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be at ease operating in a small, dynamic, fast growing team, able to be self-sufficient with a can-do attitude and hold oneself accountable
- Experience implementing enterprise-scale software solutions, experience with SaaS solutions ideal
- Passion for continuous improvement of processes, perpetually seeking greater efficiency, value, and quality
- Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to engage on both small and enterprise opportunities, facilitate meetings, and consult on account strategy
- Accountable for project definition as a result of deal support, customer discussions, scope and solution definition, and expectations management
- Working knowledge of Agile development processes and related practices
- Services delivery experience with development or operations teams is a plus
- Pre-sales experience in similar roles and/or similar industries is a plus

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
Colorado Salary Range: $132,000 - $136,000
[This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s equity plans.]
