Location: Broomfield, CO or Irvine, CA

Overview:

The Community Specialist will join the innovative Community team to support the rapid growth of the vibrant Alteryx Community. Reporting to the Sr. Community Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive environment and supporting a community of passionate and highly-technical business analysts. We’re looking for a tech savvy brand ambassador with high attention to detail who strives to deliver world class customer experiences, who can blaze forward independently while playing for the team, and who is ready to take on new challenges to help achieve our goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of the public faces of Alteryx in the online community
  • Work in a queue-based environment and directly within the community platform to review content, ensure alignment with our mission and guidelines, identify users’ needs, issues, requests and respond or escalate as appropriate
  • Handle critical abuse reports that require tact and attention to detail
  • Troubleshoot technical issues to identify solutions, potential bugs, needs for UI or content improvements
  • Effectively communicate across multiple teams to report concise user feedback, issues and escalations with detail and precision
  • Exude real empathy and passion about our customers and platform
  • Help test new community features and releases for quality insurance and gain a solid understanding of how everything works
  • Work closely with the Community team to assist as needed with day to day operations, execution of programs, promotions and events to enable, engage and grow the Alteryx user base
  • Prepare reports with qualitative and quantitative data, insights, and analytics to communicate trends and the value of the community to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in online community management, moderation or customer support
  • Clear, concise, and compelling written and verbal communications and analytical skills
  • Experience working in a global environment with remote teams
  • Passion for helping people and providing world class customer experiences with empathy and tact
  • Be able to multi task and remain flexible to quickly switch gears to better accommodate the needs of our users or our team.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues
  • Experience with Lithium, Jive, Salesforce, or other major community platform vendors
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, and advanced analytics a plus
  • Excellent judgement, including knowing when to escalate and how to prioritize
  • Highly organized and ability to keep to deadlines
  • Positive, can-do attitude, curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of humor
