What You’ll Do:
A Business Systems Analyst monitors, analyses, and recommends improvements to an organization’s business systems. At SambaSafety the Business Systems Analyst works closely with extended enterprise implementation teams to understand business and client requirements and helps implement processes to meet those needs. The extended enterprise typically included our customers’ and/or partners’ IT systems and Samba’s SaaS product suite. The analyst is also be involved with improving the current operations and procedures.
Understand, analyze and document customers/partners current business processes
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions
Work with customer/partner to analyses requirements by constructing workflow diagrams, studying system capabilities, and documenting system specifications
Work with Solution Engineering team to recommend operational procedures to increase productivity using Samba Products
Create and present reports to stakeholders to support recommendations
Monitor implementation of projects from inception to completion
Maintain a repository of system protocols by writing and updating procedures
Gather meta-data information, evaluating output requirements and formats
Use a variety of data analysis and organizational tools to uncover insights
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation, training users, and providing preliminary help desk support
Maintain user confidence throughout system implementation and protects operations
Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the extended enterprise by attending solution workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal rapport with customer/partner teams
What you’ll need:
Successful Business Systems Analysts at SambaSafety, have certain skills and qualifications, including:
Sharp problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
Expert-level knowledge around Driver Safety Monitoring industry and SambaSafety product offerings
Solid technical background and skilled at developing SQL queries and presenting them in Excel Spreadsheets to a non-technical audience
Experience with one or more Data Analytics Tools - e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex ideas into simple language
