Marketplace Marketing Manager
About The Role
The Marketing Marketplace Manager (MMM) is detail oriented and a self-starter by nature who enjoys collaborating across various teams and leveraging data to make informed decisions. In this position, the MMM partners closely with the Marketplace Core team and stakeholders from Solution Owners, Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, Solution Engineers and including the full range of associates through VP's and our trusted customers.
The MMM will develop a rapport across all groups and create buy-in on the strategy and execution roadmap. By leveraging performance data the MMM will influence strategy and inform decisions across the stakeholder group.
Summary
The Marketplace Marketing Manager will be responsible for aligning and driving Marketplace content to successfully support overall Marketplace objectives. This role will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to define clear content objectives, prioritize and maintain the backlog for new listings and existing listings requiring maintenance. The role will partner closely with Partner Listings Manager on the partner listing activities as well as work closely with PMM, Solution Owners, Services, and Product Management and others to ensure that the content backlog is well defined, organized, and progressing smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Maintain backlog of listings, covering both new content and updates to existing content.
- Partner with Product Marketing Managers, Solution Owners, R&D, support, CSMs and other stakeholders to prioritize the listing backlog.
- Define, measure, and socialize key metrics to evaluate content performance.
- Identify approach for ongoing maintenance and upgrades to existing content and ensure that it happens in a timely manner.
- Represent requirements for a listing to Services team, who will build the listing according to current best practices and design specifications.
- Review and approve submissions partnering with SMEs in Product Marketing, Services, and Product teams on 1) functionality 2) ease of use 3) adherence to design standards and 4) satisfaction of initial requirements.
- Meet with content creators on the Services team for a submission that needs revisions if a listing does not meet these standards.
- Develop relationships with customers and facilitate the content development, review, and approval process.
- Work with the production designer, who will design, review and approve the design of content.
- Maintain a ticketing system that provides transparency into the status of listings from idea to build to review/approval to release.
- Partner with support, interfacing with the customer to answer listing-specific questions and build up Q&A wiki pages over time.
What You'll Need
Education
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
- 5+ years experience, preferably in marketing or product marketing
- Experience with product launches and marketing integration preferred
- Experience working with a geographically distributed team preferred
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to develop and execute joint marketing campaigns across all channels including events, joint messaging, digital assets, collateral, email campaigns, thought leadership
- Strong initiative, project management and time management skills
- Proven ability to manage projects through all stages, from conception and budgeting, through implementation and wrap-up
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to lead presentations and interact with all levels of internal and external contacts
- Up to 30% travel
- Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
How You'll Be Rewarded
Base Pay Range in Colorado: $ 80,000- 106,000 annually
Discretionary bonus typically paid annually
Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
