Junior Copywriter

We at FRONTSTEPS are trying to disrupt the Community Association industry by integrating our family of products into the lives of community managers and the residents that they serve. We are looking for a Junior Copywriter to join the marketing team and will report to the Director of Marketing. To be successful writing must be one of your passions in life, be adaptable as the company continues to evolve, and have a thirst to learn new things (like SEO, our products, and the Community Association industry). Your work will be used to attract new prospects, educate them, and eventually help the Sales team close deals. If you’re up for the challenge we would love to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft copy to be used in all communications to prospects across all platforms, emails and video artwork.
- Add content to our site through blog posts.
- Adapt to brand voice nuances across varying content channel segments, with the ability to go deep and remain credible for all customer segments.
- Creatively link themes across content to tell a story and intrigue readers.
- Should be able to deliver polished work with no grammar or spelling errors in tight turnaround time.
- Works enthusiastically, respectfully and collaboratively with project team members, has a clear understanding of how a project team operates, their responsibilities throughout a project and what is expected in work review and team meetings.
- Takes direction from designers, UX, SEO, and business stakeholders to ensure the project meets creative strategy/project objectives.
- Understands project requirements/scope and proactively raise issues that may impact quality or timing of deliverables and offer solutions.
- Actively participates in team meetings to discuss assignment parameters.
- Ensures that internal deadlines, timetables and approval procedures are adhered to for assigned project phases.
- Manages and prioritizes work effectively, and proactively escalates conflicts with workloads
- Organizes file management per prescribed process.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience writing marketing copy - long form (ex: email) & short form (ex: digital ads).
- Relevant writing portfolio showcasing a variety of writing samples.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with being adaptable with brand voice.
- Strong storytelling abilities.
- Creative problem solver and quick thinker.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Superb grammar skills.
