Position Description
As the AVP of Corporate Marketing for Zayo, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a global brand strategy that increases awareness, visibility, and recognition of Zayo with our target customers. Through creative, content, and event strategy and execution, you will play a key role in driving opportunities and demand for Zayo. You will lead a team of marketing talent including brand, advertising, content, creative services and localization, events, and alliance marketing. You will recruit talent to build out capabilities and teams for Zayo’s continued growth.
Responsibilities
Define and own Zayo's brand experience and top-line messaging, differentiating the brand for all critical audiences including customers, partners, influencers, employees, and investors and ensuring consistency across channels
Deliver unique and creative top-of-the-funnel paid media, advertising, and event strategies to “wow” the market and increase awareness of Zayo
Collaborate with Revenue Marketing and Product Marketing to develop strong mid and lower funnel content that accelerates sales cycles, improves conversion rates, and helps retain and expand existing customer relationships
Mobilize the internal and third-party creative services team to execute a strategy that delivers positive impactful results for a cross-functional set of stakeholders, including Executive Communications, People & Culture, Sales, Product, Product Marketing & Revenue Marketing
Build a content marketing engine that feeds the broader brand and revenue marketing initiatives
Deliver a localization strategy to address customer needs around the world
Build an Alliances Marketing team to partner with key tier one partners to advance the Zayo brand and drive co-marketing efforts
Build a highly scalable operational model that eliminates process bottlenecks and increases efficiency and capacity of the global team while improving alignment with stakeholders
Coach, mentor and enhance the team’s ability to deliver while creating development and growth opportunities for talent
For remote position, regular travel to Denver required (approx. 10% travel)
Qualifications
B.A./B.S./MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in brand management or corporate marketing, including 5+ years for a global technology or B2B company
Can balance strategy and execution requirements
Experience managing internal creative teams and external agencies
Track record of meeting and exceeding targets and objectives
Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
Outstanding, respectful communication and leadership skills that motivate team to high performance
Proven ability to lead a highly productive marketing organization and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives
History of successful brand marketing campaigns
Knowledge of content marketing best practices and experience building content-first teams

Base salary range: $175,000 – $210,000
Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) - Full-time Zayo employees are also eligible for discretionary AIP which is based on the performance of the Company, an employee’s business segment, and the individual employee
