You must have prior success managing custom software solutions or other technical projects. You must be comfortable working with a variety of clients with different personalities, different needs, different projects, and different delivery timelines. You must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to change as the work changes (potentially daily) and be very comfortable with all forms of standard technology. You should be a self-starter, highly motivated, goal-oriented, memorable, passionate, a high achiever and a hard worker who works well as part of a team. 

Essential Duties:

• Project Manager will serve as the central point of contact between development, design and the customer, guiding products through the software development lifecycle
• Projects we work with usually include the following technologies: iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets; MySQL/SQL databases and servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS); Web application portals for client and end user management; and API integrations with new backend or existing client systems
• Technical advisor to client and able to help them define their product strategy, provide regular communication via email, phone or in-person and send out weekly detailed reports
• The ideal candidate has experience and/or an understanding of agile methodologies and is able to effectively coordinate with the team to define the product backlog and ongoing development roadmap
• Write detailed requirements for new app features in upcoming development plans
• Hold weekly project management meetings with development team
• Work in all modes necessary to be effective with members of the AppIt Ventures team, and all other members of project teams
• Communicating successes, concerns, and failures quickly and concisely to the appropriate parties
   

Here’s what we need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge with 1-5 years of software management experience
• Extreme attention to detail
• Experience helping to architect software solutions, writing user stories, guiding the user experience flow, managing design iterations, development timelines and quality assurance
• Demonstrated project leadership, interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities, including influencing project and/or product stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Deep understanding of fundamental principles of project organization and team roles, including waterfall and agile project methodologies, and corresponding operational norms and processes
• Proven ability to handle high-pressure, time-critical clients and projects, and engage stakeholders when competing demands require priority calls to be made
• Track record of being a self-starter and problem-solver with the ability to work independently, multi-task, keep organized, track personal assignments and commitments to completion, and maintain attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including through email, presentations, conference calls, proposals, negotiations, interviews, requirements gathering, conflict resolution, and any other interaction with current and potential colleagues, company leadership, current and potential clients, and business partners

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $50,000 - $60,000/year, based on experience.
