Payroll Analyst II
Job Description:
Arrow is adding to it's North America payroll operations team. This team is processing our weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll in the US and Canada.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide guidance to the payroll process by maintaining the payroll audit database. Through advanced understanding of database structure, resolve tier 2 problems. Create new databases and complex queries. Troubleshoot errors associated with general ledger and other financial systems.
- Interface, reconcile and process payroll information received from outside sources and vendors. Ensure quality control of employee data and financial information as well as preserve data integrity of vendor data.
- Maintain database of reports, account reconciliation of payroll data for accounting department.
- Create ad hoc reports, implement adjustments to existing reports (as needed) and provide data analysis to the Human Resources and Payroll departments. Monitors and maintains data analysis between payroll and HR.
- Assist in quarter-end and year-end processes, implement and maintain taxable wages audit for taxes. Research and resolve any discrepancies by making adjustments within the payroll system.
- Serve as primary and/or secondary support to a number of payroll runs within the US and Canada – including weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly populations.
- Administer payroll related processes associated with the employee life cycle – to include new hires, terminations, and role changes.
What We Are Looking For
- Typically requires a 4 year degree and 2–4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience with mutli-state, in-house payroll processing
- Fundamental understanding of regulatory topics impacting the payroll process
- Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of payroll-related calculations
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, in an effort to streamline aspects of the payroll process
- Canadian payroll experience a plus
- FPC or CPP certification preferred
- Experience with UltiPro (Ultimate Software) preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
- Adaptable to change
- High critical thinking skills and troubleshooting
