Position Description
Zayo is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join the Zayo Networks organization reporting directly to the segment’s Director of Finance. This position plays a pivotal role in actively providing value to Zayo Networks and requires an individual with diverse analytical skills and interests. Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain in-depth analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting of financial and business performance
Prepare and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting and reporting records of financial and business performance to support company-wide financial and operational goals, initiatives and objectives
Significantly contribute to month-end and quarter-end close and reporting responsibilities
Significantly contribute to the preparation of presentations (internal and external) of financial and operational business results and analysis
Own contractual relationships with vendors
Ability to translate contractual provisions into financial and accounting figures and forecasts
Maintain data fidelity in our financial databases
Train and develop junior staff
Understands GAAP principles
Can translate financial and accounting principles to non-finance and non-accounting staff
Significantly contribute to capital spend analysis, providing detailed budget performance for Executives
Significantly contribute to operational improvements and initiatives
Other financial and operational analysis and duties as needed
Qualifications
Typically, this role is for individuals with professional experience
Advanced financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Access optional

Knowledge of accounting (GAAP) principles and financial statement modeling
Ability to manage a high-volume of workload efficiently and effectively
Attention to detail is a must
Good communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Ability to work extended hours (some evenings and weekends, when necessary) and achieve results in a deadline driven environment
High energy individual with strong work ethic and ability to multitask
Must be a self-motivator
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information when needed
