Position Description
Zayo is looking for an intellectually curious Analyst, Treasury & Finance to help support the Company’s global treasury operations. The successful candidate will be actively involved in supporting day-to-day functions such as cash and debt management, investments, cash forecasting and other key value creation initiatives. This role will work and collaborate closely with other corporate functions, including Corporate Development and Strategy, Investor Relations, Accounting and Legal, with direct exposure to senior executives including CFO and General Counsel.
Responsibilities
- Cash management – assist with day-to-day management of company’s global cash position, including cash disbursements, receipts, borrowing, investing and general cash flow planning
- Work cross-functionally to ensure Wire/ACH payments are initiated as necessary
- Liaise with AR/AP to ensure inflows/outflows are timely and in-line with expectations
- Debt management – assist with management of company’s $6B debt portfolio
- Ensure interest payments are timely and accurate
- Support efforts to review and monitor capital structure
- Bank administration – setting up/removing users, updating permissions, rationalizing bank accounts, keeping signing authorities current, pulling ad hoc reports across a variety of different banking platforms
- Assists with special projects including modeling, strategic finance, integration and M&A
- Assists in implementing and managing relevant SOX controls, providing ad hoc responses to internal/external audit requests as needed
- Other financial and operational duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
- 1-3 years of corporate treasury, commercial banking, or related experience preferred
- Experience and comfort initiating a variety of payment types in different countries (ie, Canada, EU/UK, Mexico)
- Some familiarity with both domestic and international banking platforms preferred
- High level of proficiency with both Google (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) suite of applications
- Working knowledge of Oracle and Salesforce
- Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of financial statements – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
- Highly driven and detail-oriented, with demonstrated ability to multi-task and see tasks through to completion
- Self-starter with a collaborative spirit; strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across functional boundaries
- Strong work ethic and ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload: role requires working extended hours (evenings and weekends, when necessary) to achieve results in a deadline driven environment
