Reporting to the Head of Security DevOps, a typical day in the life of a Security DevOps Engineer might include:

• Securely bring planet-scale services into production and keep them running with high availability.
• Deploy and manage systems to allow end-to-end encrypted meetings for end-users, and internal platforms to ensure secure deployments throughout Zoom.
• Architect how to deploy applications securely with maximum automation, and help design how to best keep the lights on.
• Design and maintain security infrastructure and lead us toward better standards.

About you:

• You write production backend applications
• Ship and run services in cloud environments, with a focus on AWS
• You understand how cloud services can be secured, and like advising others on how they can better achieve best practices
• You have knowledge of or experience with Cryptography and PKI, especially as it pertains to TLS/SSL
• You have a passion for automation

• Microservice architecture and orchestration - Kubernetes / K8S / ECS
• Secret / credential management - HashiCorp Vault
• Cryptography / PKI - SSL, TLS certificate management
• Access Control Policy / RBAC
• Linux / Unix system administration
• Bash or shell scripting
