What you'll do

• Contribute to a cross-functional agile team developing and maintaining products providing value-added backend vendor data to our clients and feature teams.
• Produce high quality SQL designs and code that are performant, intuitive, and secure.
• Dive into data with the desire to understand it and it’s relationship to other data in our systems.  You like data and want to ensure it is represented correctly.
• Develop code for ingestion of vendor data feeds.
• Mentor and learn from developers of all levels, continually building your own skill sets and capabilities in order to help teams achieve their sprint and project goals.
• Partner with our amazing feature teams to bring our client’s vision to reality.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of development for relational database applications.  You are a proven expert.
• Ability to design and develop relational database schemas knowing how to create normalized entities and knowing when it is appropriate to denormalize.
• Able to evaluate what indexes are needed to support fast performing queries.
• Developer of maintainable, testable, and performant stored procedures.
• Demonstrated skills with performance analysis and tuning using query analyzer; you can identify table scans, and have ideas about how to fix key lookups.
• Experience with XML and/or JSON.
• A passion to understand our data and how it’s represented.

Applicable experience using the following technologies and skills:

• Transact-SQL, SSIS
• SQL Query plan analysis
• Centralized version control system like Git or Subversion
• C# or Java
• Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated expertise handling large data sets and fast transactional environment.
• Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

The following experience is encouraged

• Unit test development using using frameworks like J-meter
• Solar Winds Ignite
• SQL Enlight
• Understanding of RESTful APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications using Node.js
• Experience using tools such as GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory, Consul, and Docker
• Experience with Continuous Integration and automated testing
• Understanding of test driven development
• Knowledge of Financial domain

• For work locations in the state of Colorado, the anticipated base salary range for this role would be between $75,440 and $95,000. Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the applicant.
