Senior Manager, Product Intelligence & Data Science
Zoom is hiring a Strategic Leader of Analytics to oversee Product Intelligence and Data Science efforts. You will be part of the broader Data leadership team responsible for empowering the organization to make data-informed decisions. You will partner closely with leaders in Engineering, Product, and Business Services. Your teams are responsible for delivering data and insights that drive decision making, execution and investments for our product initiatives and customer insights.
You will work cross-functionally with product, design and engineering, enabling them with data and narratives about the customer journey. You’ll also work closely with other data teams, such as data engineering and business technology, to ensure we are creating a strong data culture at Zoom that enables our cross-functional partners to be more data-informed.
Responsibilities:
Build, lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and managers in the U.S. and India.
Drive the vision, strategy, and execution for product intelligence, including the design of a new event collection framework and data dictionary.
Launch and evangelize a data-driven goals and metrics program at Zoom
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design leadership to understand the role of Data and how we can drive impact throughout the product development process--driving the kickoff of data-driven feature development and starting an experimentation program.
Define the processes and culture of a hybrid remote Data Science organization.
Be a strong advocate for the team by representing their needs and challenges with cross-functional leadership.
Work closely with Executives to answer important questions about our customers, our product and the business
Confidently tell the story of Zoom through data
Deeply understand the Zoom ecosystem and proactively spot risks and opportunities
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a management role, responsible for both senior individual contributors and managers
Extensive and relevant work experience leading and growing high-performing Product Intelligence or Data Science teams
A nuanced understanding of diverse and inclusive hiring practices
A proven track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key decisions
Experience leading and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment
Experience setting requirements for engagement & behavioral data
Strong storyteller and ability to communicate effectively with managers and executives
Tools & Skills:
At Zoom, our Data Scientists are adept at R, Python, and SQL. You should have expertise in at least one of those areas.
We expect experience in experimental design and the statistics skills to make strong inferences.
Data storytelling matters; you should have a strong point of view on data visualization and how to use data to drive decisions. You should be very familiar with an enterprise Data Visualization platform like Tableau or PowerBI.
