Why this role

As a tech-enabled disruptor in the vacation rental industry, Evolve is professionalizing the category by instilling data science models and techniques to solve problems and capitalize on opportunities across the entire vacation rental ecosystem.  The projects we are working on are fundamentally changing how guests interact with vacation rentals and how homeowners maximize rental income generation.  In this newly created role, you will directly drive Evolve’s business forward by unlocking the potential of talented data scientists and working closely with the business to identify challenges and opportunities.

What you’ll do

• Manage, develop and grow a team of data analysts and scientists who employ predictive machine learning modeling, advanced experimentation methodology, and retrospective statistical analysis to enhance Evolve’s strategy across multiple functional areas
• You will serve as a subject matter expert to the team, assisting in unblocking technical challenges and providing your expertise in data science techniques
• Be a thought leader and a brainstorm partner for stakeholders across the organization, translating business needs and problems into data science opportunities and solutions
• Develop and ensure execution and communication on a data science roadmap that is aligned with company objectives and key results
• Communicate data science results and learnings at various levels (business partners, leadership team, company wide) depending on need
• Research new methodologies, concepts and industry trends to guide the creation and adoption of new analytical approaches and technology

What makes you a great fit 

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, 2+ years of data science work
• 1+ year of people management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field, Masters or PhD preferred
• Programming experience with Python and SQL, ideally in a full-stack machine learning setting
• Track record of implementing machine learning models and experimental methods in production
• Passion for building and developing high performing teams and teammates
• Experience working in a cross functional environment to identify and prioritize high value opportunities 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization

Evolve has a flexible working environment so teammates can work remotely anywhere in the state of Colorado, in our beautiful downtown Denver office, remotely or a hybrid of both! We're currently all working remotely and will be opening up the office in September for our in office and hybrid options.

Compensation

For this role our salary range is $120,000 to $150,000, depending on relevant experience.  This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
