Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a Director of Data Science in the United States (Remote is an option).
As a leader in the Alteryx Data Science organization, you will be responsible for developing and delivering data science products that revolutionize the way that we market & interact with our customers and end users. Partnering with leaders and colleagues in Marketing daily, you will be a change agent in the organization, leveraging our AYX data assets to drive efficiency & effectiveness in everything we do and deliver a highly curated, relevant and impactful experience to our end customers. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists in the development of data & analytics products to drive data-driven decision making in our Marketing organization
  • Be a hands-on developer & problem solver who is passionate about getting their hands dirty with data and leading by example to solve business problems across the analytics spectrum
  • Create and nurture relationships with our Marketing business partners, helping to identify areas of opportunity where data science products can accelerate growth, drive efficiency, and deliver tailored customer interactions
  • Lead and manage a Data Science project portfolio from end-to-end, identifying novel data sources, building new analytics and integrating solutions into our core Alteryx systems
  • Support the development & execution of our broader Data & Analytics strategy across the organization
  • Be a champion for our people, culture & brand, driving engagement and growth throughout the team


Required Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of total experience in data and analytics with at least 6+ years of hands-on experience and 4+ years of people management experience
  • Advanced degree in technical field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, etc.) with numerous examples of applying complex methods to solve business problems
  • Significant experience in working with a broad range of analytics tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python, Alteryx, SAS, STATA, Matlab, etc.). Experience with Alteryx a plus
  • Strong passion for being a player + coach, with exceptional skills in critical thinking, decision making, process design/engineering, problem solving and attention to detail
  • Advanced relationship management and communication skills, including partnering and consulting with senior leaders and external customers
  • Proven experience leading fast-paced, growing teams. Highly focused on individual development and career growth of team
  • Experience in Data Analytics transformation a plus
  • Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company values and ethics.


Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in is $132,100 - $231,200. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
