Arturo delivers on-demand property data utilizing multi-source imagery via a configurable API, enabling better risk assessment. 


Data quality team members are responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality datasets for deep learning. This involves closely collaborating with the machine learning team to develop consistent approaches to identifying objects in aerial imagery, creating clear documentation around best practices for object identification, testing these approaches, and providing feedback to a large remote labeling team.

What you will do:

  • Learn how to use industry-standard data annotation software to label our images
  • Perform quality control on images labeled by our external labeling team (BPO)
  • Provide feedback to the external labeling team to help improve our labeling
  • Use various software tools to find and identify specific properties in images
  • Use search tools to perform research and help define or refine our model classification (class) definitions
  • Come up with ways to identify objects and identify patterns that will serve as classification indicators
  • Work with similar images and classes, take note of any distinctions between the content
  • Perform data audits on customer batches and provide feedback to the ML team
  • Assist in the preparation of training materials

What you bring:

  • Knowledge of Google Drive and Docs for creating documentation
  • Strong communication skills, especially over slack and google hangouts
  • Ability to learn keyboard shortcuts for our labeling platform
  • Basic programming knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated
  • Collaborative. You like being part of a fast-moving, fun team
  • Excited to contribute to building excellent tech products
  • Ability to execute online research tasks and compile findings
  • Reliable
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Nice to have:

  • An interest in machine learning
  • Experience working with GIS data
