WHAT WE HOPE FOR YOU...

As the Data Analyst - Lock Desk, you will be providing reporting and quality control solutions as well as operational support to Maxwell Capital. This person will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and distributing reports to investors as well as sending remittance funds in accordance with agreements and guidelines. They will assist with locking mortgage rates, selling, and delivering loans to secondary market investors and participate in the daily management of the pipeline and execution of daily pricing strategy. By partnering closely with traders and leaders, they will ensure dynamic reporting is available and that all loans are locked appropriately to maximize profitability while adhering to guidelines and deadlines.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Run suites of weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports to verify values are accurate against other sources and reasonableness
  • Distribute reports to locations and employees as directed while adhering to deliverables schedule
  • Manage ad-hoc data analysis and reporting for both in-house and client-facing requests in a timely manner
  • Evaluate and confirm pricing on lock requests and maintenance requests to ensure accuracy
  • Process, track and review rate locks and expirations and extensions to meet deadlines and create commitments with various investors
  • Review and reconcile bid tape files and provide quality assurance checks and data validations 
  • Partner both internally and externally to ensure loans are closed and sold with attention to detail, urgency, accuracy, and within compliance of corporate and investor policies
  • Maintain internal pricing engines and pricing models to update per current market conditions
  • Monitor bond market for pricing volatility and alert supervisor of notable changes to recommend solutions
  • Manage, grow, and improve our portfolio of reports, dashboards, and ongoing data analysis

IDEALLY YOU'LL HAVE...

  • Prior Rate Lock and/or Data Analyst experience within the mortgage industry, required
  • Knowledge of current regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage large loan volumes
  • We’re a tech company, so a high technical aptitude and experience or familiarity with platforms like Slack, Zoom, Gsuite, etc. are important to be successful in our remote environment
  • Present self in a professional manner and can interact with all levels within and outside the organization
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining the highest level of confidentiality

Compensation Range: $80,000-$90,000
